MSC introduces nanoRISC® family of compatible processor modules

MSC has announced the first products from the nanoRISC® family of compatible processor modules. Two are based on ARM Cortex-A8 microcontrollers from Samsung, while a third module with a Samsung® ARM9 processor is in preparation. nanoRISC modules combine the microprocessor, DRAM and Flash with a wide set of embedded interfaces such as LAN, CAN, USB, UART, I2C, SPI and LCD Graphics. Only 50 x 70 mm in size, the nanoRISC modules can be operated without cooling and consume less than 2.5W of power. They can be used almost as "supercomponents" and are suited for any kind of embedded application, especially for industrial control, medical, Point-Of-Sale (POS) and Point-Of-Information (POI).
